I'd probably switch out the hot peppers for a bush cucumber or Malabar spinach (leaves taste of spinach and fruits are a sweet red berry) on a short trellis, and reduce the Swiss chard by half so I can add lettuces. If eggplant isn't a favorite, one could grow nasturtiums (seed, flower, and leaf are all edible) or bush beans like Blue Lake, Red Swan, Kentucky Wonder, or Dragon's Tongue.

There's an amazing amount of food that can be grown in just 5 square feet, especially if you have them in individual containers and stagger the plantings so you are constantly getting new growth to replace the harvested ones. With fertilizer, grow lights, and staggered plantings, you can grow food all year long.
