I am always working on several projects at any given time.

Next spring, I will be sharing a table at the Oklahoma Steampunk Exposition with [profile] bevhale and another person who doesn't (as far as I know) have an LJ.

I don't really do "personas" per se, because in the end, it's just me. However, I do separate out parts of what I do and give those parts their own era-appropriate style (always frumpy because that just seems to be the way I roll) and a name. For MedFair, I'm Wera (aka Kendweramyr Du Elerchieu), alchemist and Fair Lackey. For Steampunk, I'm Cordelia MoonTea, an alchemist and Monstrumologist.

I have a collection of curious monsters in bottles of all sorts, some are pickled and others preserved in other ways, and some are in suspended animation looking almost lifelike in their poses. Some appear to be cute - the pixies and Fair Ones and such placed cozily in mason jars with bits of their natural environment, for example. And others - well, the labels hide their truly disturbing parts.

I also have bottles of potions, elixirs, fluid condensers, essences, and fragrances as well as potpourris, jars of dried herbs and teas, and dried tussie mussies. Cordelia MoonTea is the "author" of two books: Laboratory Notes on Various and Sundry Monsters, chronicling the capture and experiments upon the bottled monsters she displays and sells, and Time Tarts and Chrono-Teas, a book on the civilized art of tea for those who flit about time and space. A third, Laboratory Notes on Various and Sundry Elixirs, is in the works.

Then, just because I was fiddling and fooling around, I have a stack (small, to be sure!) of Autograph Books that are decorated in a Nordi-Victorian style for those who wish to take up the pleasure of collecting autographs and pithy sayings from all one's friends and acquaintances and anyone else one can cajole into signing the Autograph Book (it can also hold tickets, program guides, menus, and other ephemeral memorabilia to mark the events at which one collects the autographs). And because I've not seen anyone else do them - I may have a few steampunked fans, of metal spines, leather, and gears.

Lest you think everything I'm doing is steampunk, let me assure you that harvest season has been happening for nearly a month now, and I am deep into preserving herbs, and will soon be harvesting my daughter's apple trees for the making of jellies, butters, pie fillings, and such. I've already got several jars of peas and tomato sauces and expect more to come.

And I've been working on my Pizza Boy in Space novel and considering if I should set aside my dislike to re-write and edit my Amusement Park Mystery novel, Legendary Notes.

I'm going to take [Unknown site tag]'s advise. I have several ideas of perils they can overcome and adventures they can have in the aether as well as in assorted ports. Perhaps I'll write several short stories and glue them together into a longer work.

Our writing group meets this Saturday, so before I do anything else with it, I'll take it there and see what happens. I'm sure there are lots of things I could do to make the story more exciting. My daughter suggested submitting it to Baen's Universe, and I may do that before shipping it off to a snail mail magazine.
