Our first family recipe cookbook was titled Stewed Monkey Heads and Other Family Favorites.
I'm thinking our second one should be titled Bite Me: A Family Food Odyssey.
The first one was put together in a month to be ready for my son's wedding and it was a bare bones, quick and dirty effort. It left a lot of interesting family food anecdotes out and a lot of recipes didn't get translated from other languages into English, so there's still a lot of material left to go into another cookbook.
Or two or three.
We are a family who cooks instead of eating out a lot. That means we have lots of recipes. And - being American - that means we have lots of recipes from practically everywhere. And that means we can compile several cookbooks from all of it.
