New Boots - not for MedFair

I can't remember who alerted me to it, but buycostumes.com had a 1 day sale on front lace-up boots with a neo-Victorian look for just $5.00. By the time I got to the website to check them out, they only had the very small sizes left and only in brown. Since I wear very small sizes, I ordered their smallest size. The color really didn't matter to me, and I can do a lot with brown shoes.

They came today.

I do wish they'd had one size smaller, but I'm happy enough with them. I can add padding and insoles and arch supports for my very high arches.

Now I have nice neo-Victorian boots to go with my steampunk clothes. They'll even look good with some of my pirate clothes, and of course, they'll go with some of my office wear. This makes them an extremely good investment for $5.00.

I can even make removeable steampunky accessories for them to make them more appropriate to wear with the steampunk clothes, and piratey accessories for the pirate clothes and leave them plain for office wear.

But not this weekend. This weekend, I am going to see if I can make a nice dog cart for Xoco to hide in if the weather's windy (almost a given) and chilly (usually a given, especially in the mornings) because I really hate leaving her behind for so many hours a day.
