We just had a 4.0 on the Richter scale earthquake in Oklahoma City - the 3rd one so far this year. The other two were farther east and north (still in Oklahoma Couty, though) and were smaller.
This one went from Arcadia just north and a bit east of Oklahoma CIty to Midwest City, which is east of downtown Oklahoma City. It went as far east as Jones and Spencer, but I think Oklahoma City itself was too large for it to reach any cities west of OKC. We felt it here where I work (between Midwest City and downtown), as well as two aftershocks. No damage has been reported that I know of, and no injuries. As earthquakes go, it's still on the mild side.
However, a 4.0 on the Richter scale is the largest earthquake we've had so far and they seem to be ramping up. Lasyt year, we had 27 earthquakes, most so mild they were only measurable by instrument, meaning they were a 2.0 or less. This year, the other two were 2.8 and 3.3, and now a 4.0.
I hope the quakes don't get any stronger. I'm pretty sure I live far enough away from all the tectonic activity, but I'm updating my homeowner's policy to include earthquake damage.
