I know, I know, there are so many more important things to rage about, still...

I always thought the items confiscated by TSA were returned to the person.

I'm not quite sure how this translated in my mind, but the most likely scenario would be that the TSA agent boxes it up and the person addresses it and pays for postage to send it either on to where they're going or back to their home address. After all, it's not illegal to own these items. These items still belong to the people; it's just TSA getting their panties in a wad over them and refusing to let the person board the plane with them.

If the TSA is actually keeping these things, then, as far as I'm concerned, that's theft. And I want to know where the outrage is on the TSA stealing these people's belongings?
