But I wouldn't spend that much for these things.

I can make doggie santa suits from scraps for under a dollar.

Pet bowls I get from garage sales and flea markets for 25ยข. Itzl eats out of footed crystal sorbet bowls I picked up here and there at a quarter a bowl, and Drooly eats out of galvanized steel bowls (she's a rough and tumble out door dog) I got at a flea market 2 for $1.00.

Xoco's many sweaters, blankets, and beds were made for her out of left-over ends of skeins and bolts of fabric for pennies each.

She's a dog, she doesn't care if the doggie bag she's carried around in is Louis Vuitton or made of scraps, if her sweaters are odds and ends or designer duds. She likes her carriers, beds, blankets, sweaters, and footed bowls, but she doesn't care if they're flea market finds. She delights in "found" toys- Xoco is forever finding sticks and flowers she loves.

Your pet wants you and your attention more than they want things.

And bacon. Your dog wants bacon. Or steak.
