Militantism is a bit too extreme, but certainly the vast middle is stirring.

I consider myself a part of the middle. I'm not an extremist on either end. I think a Two Party system is destroying America because they really are two sides of a double-headed coin. It doesn't matter which one you vote for, they all espouse pretty much the same thing once you strip away the pretty words and the charismatic characters.

I said during the presidential elections that there wasn't much to choose between McCain and Obama. Obama was more articulate and charming, but he said almost the same things McCain was saying, just in a different way, using different keywords. Until McCain chose a pretty, selfish, celebrity-oriented airhead for a VP running mate, there wasn't a lot to choose between them. With Palin on board, it was obvious we had to do whatever it took to keep her out of office. That cost McCain and gave Obama the election.

The only good thing about Obama being president is that we don't have Palin trying to act as if she were as important as the president and butting in with her ignorance.

We really want a third option, someone who doesn't spout what is best for the party, but someone who actually understands that, like it or not, once in office, they are supposed to represent all Americans, and not cherry pick the ones they like better.

A third option. A third party. A real choice.

That's what the vast and restless middle wants.
