A co-worker needs to find a new home for her puppy immediately, before her children accidentally kill it. They "fed" the puppy a rubber ball and the puppy swallowed it. The vet hasn't been able to get her to throw the ball back up and she needs surgery.
Unfortunately, with the furloughs and pay cuts we've had to take at work, she can't afford the $500 surgery and the vet wants to put down this sweet dog. We're trying to find a vet who will do the surgery for less and trying to find a new home for the puppy.
She's a mixed breed that was found wandering the streets. She's about 3 months old, had her first 2 sets of puppy shots, is housebroken, is a good car traveler, is calm and friendly, and may grow to be about 40 or 50 pounds. She appears to have a lot of bull terrier in her. She looks a lot like this statue only with longer legs. She may have German Shepherd in her.
If you know a vet who will remove the rubber ball for less (a LOT less) than $500 in the Oklahoma City area, please let me know ASAP so I can tell her.
