Oh dear. The story itself is tragic and sad: poor homeless guy reduced to stealing a friend (OK, maybe he stoel it to sell it for money - trafficking in ferrets....). But. Having a ferret classed as a "special weapon" and charging the poor guy with "dangerously wielding a ferret" has got to find its way into someone's game. If I still had a gaming group, it would so become a part of our lore.
