Proclamation
My boss, in lieu of providing pay checks (let alone pay raises) or benefits (we have them on paper, we're told not to use them because they aren't really there), has issued a formal proclamation that this week is "employee appreciation week". We don't get time off, or a cake, or even a scrap of paper to put in our files, just an email telling us this is "employee appreciation week". The email lists all the job positions considered "appreciated" - mine isn't on the list.
I feel so under-appreciated.
