And Palin keeps disappointing.
Honestly, I don't hate the woman. I do feel she's not a good vice-presidential candidate, and certainly not a good presidential candidate for 2012 - and any future presidential election - but that doesn't make her a bad person.
She'd be a fun party animal; I bet she was the life of the party throughout all the colleges and universities she attended and a major in journalism only fuels that belief.
Her job with Fox was an excellent opportunity for her to leave behind the failed presidential campaign with McCain and use her popularity to re-invent herself and become a powerful woman.
And does she?
Nope - it's still name-calling, mud-slinging, and playing fast and loose with facts. Her first appearance on Fox could have been a wowser, and it was - the same-old, same-old. It's like she's a one-trick pony.
If she doesn't diversify, she's going to bore even her most ardent supporters, and she'll fail at being a celebrity as she's failed at being a politician.
The saddest part? No one's doing this to her. In fact, people are giving her platforms and opportunities and assistance all along the way to be the best she can be. And she's wasting it all to be vindictive and petty and - so last year. The presidential campaign ended more than a year ago, it's time to quit harping and sniping on it and find new things to harp on and snipe about, assuming being snarky is the role she chooses to assume. Americans love a good snarker, it would be a good one for her. But she's snarking old, worn out territory and she's making herself dull, trite, and boring. If she doesn't find new material soon, she'snever going to achieve true pundit status and she's going to destroy herself as a celebrity. She's doing this all on her own.
It's worse than a train wreck.
