What one small, ordinary object always makes you happy?
Sweet gum balls. They are so silly, they always make me smile.
What one book made a difference in your life?
Lots of books have made a difference in my life, so I could technically say practically all of them. But the one book that made the absolute biggest difference in my life was Bobby in Bubbleland by Eulalie Banks. It was the first book I read by myself, and started me on a lifetime of reading and writing.
What one tool do you find most indispensible?
My pocket knife. It opens packages, slices tomatoes, cuts flowers, spreads butter, digs out splinters, clips coupons, pries out staples, opens stubborn bottles, cuts steaks in restaurants when their knives are inadequate (and they generally are), sharpens pencils, and so much more.
What one superpower do you already posses?
I can wither houseplants with a glance. I know it doesn't do much good, but I don't know anyone else who can kill a houseplant as quickly as I can. Outdoors, they thrive. But captive plants in my care die. This superpower is rivaled only by my aquarium fish killing abilities. I even had a betta fish spontaneously freeze in its bowl one August day.
What one internet site or program do you use the most?
Probably email. I use it more than any other site. A close rival is a word processor like Word or Open Office.
What one job was your favorite?
I really loved working as an herbal apothecary long, long ago on a continent far, far away.
What one hobby provides you the most pleasure?
That's a tough one, I have so many. I'm going to go with writing.
What one meal is your default, go-to meal?
Avgolomeno.
