I love Lulu.

It took me a whole 10 minutes to upload, create a cover, and set up the sample sized volume of my Time Tarts and Chrono-Teas book.

It's a little pricier than I'd hoped, but it is slightly more than 100 pages with pictures, and it is a complete book in itself, it's just ΒΌ of the full and complete book.

This sampler book will be available at the Oklahoma Steampunk Exposition, and only there. People who want to may purchase copies there. If I run out, I will be happy to order more copies for people, but they'll have to wait to receive it. At this time and as things stand now, I will not be selling copies of the sample of Time Tarts and Chrono-Teas anywhere else. I may make an exception for FenCon if the full book can't be published in time for that, but the whole book should be published by traditional means after that.

I hope.

That's because he's a foaming at the mouth rabid Republican who has neither served in the military nor been homeless.

I served briefly (before a medical discharge) in the Air Force, and I have lived homeless with his children while he lived in the house we bought together and dated other women. His son is in the military. He flat doesn't understand what this means.

Or he doesn't care.

After all, he got his: he's a home-owning middle class white male retired from a state job, and he doesn't want anyone else to have what he has. Apparently not even his own children.

This potential future parent, dropping off an application, told me her 2 Chihuahuas were named Pippin "anna" Poppin.

If you're female, doctors don't hesitate to tell you you're overweight even when you aren't. If you're female and weigh more than 90 pounds, regardless of your height, you will be told you are fat by at least one doctor in your life.

If you're male, you may never have the word "fat" applied to you, even when you have floppy man-boobs and should be wearing a size 48D bra to control them, and a belly that overhangs your belt enough to be considered an "apron". You might hear "overweight", but not "fat".
